The 2011 Christmas party was held at Jorg Restaurant, Fitzroy North. We ended the year on a good note by celebrating with champagne upon arrival, followed by a delicious three course meal. A hop, skip and a jump for more fun at the Deco Wine Bar for those that were keen to party on. All in all, a good day was had by all - ready for a fresh start for 2012.

On 31 August Kelly Dickson from Macpherson & Kelly Lawyers presented at our “Personal Property Securities” seminar. Kelly’s detailed knowledge of the new legislation provided business owners with a better understanding of the vast changes to be released on the industry. The breakfast seminar was located at The Point, Albert Park Lake and has provided attendees with an opportunity to prepare themselves before this legislation comes into effect.

After a busy financial year it was time to relax with a few beverages. Hosted by Bell Partners, we had an opportunity to mingle throughout the teams with some good food and cranking tunes. For those keen to continue the night, we arrived at our own private bar 'the gold room' at the lavish Silk Road on Collins St.

We held a successful client seminar titled “The Changing Accounting Landscape, and its Effects on Your Business” on Thursday 2nd June 2011. We presented the recent changes to financial reporting including the Reduced Disclosure Requirements, legislative amendments and the not-for-profit sector. The event was held in the Gallery at the Blackman Hotel surrounded by modern artwork. Clients in attendance had the opportunity to interact with speakers and staff while enjoying a fine selection of canapes and beverages catered by Fleur Depot De Pain.

Our 2010 Christmas Party was held at the The Red Hill Estate, Mornington Peninsula. We were spoilt with wine tasting, great food and beautiful scenery for the afternoon. Those who didn't participate in the wine tasting tour were greeted with chilled drinks on the manicured lawns of the property. When the three courses were consumed and purchases finalised, we boarded the bus back to Melbourne for a noisy ride home.

An informative evening about investing for the future was held at 'The Willows' on St Kilda Road. Client's had a chance to meet with our staff before the seminar at our 'after work' canapes and drinks, followed by a three course sit down dinner. Specialist speakers addressed attendees on property, the share market, insurance and ended with a SMSF update. Our generous friends at 'Chocolatier' provided the perfect ending to the night - offering complimentary chocolates to be enjoyed with tea and coffee

Our latest 'garden tea' race day was enjoyed by client's and staff on a stunning mid-February day. Delicious buffet lunch, punting and pints made for a fun event. We trialled the Punters Club which made the day very interesting. Missing out on the big bucks from the Quaderalla on the last leg was a bit heart breaking, but we did have some comfort knowing that we had at least won our money back on some well placed trifecta's

Another beautiful day at the Mornington Races. This event was an informal day catered for track side where we could witness all the action. Staff and clients had a fun day checking out the stables, 'fashions on the field', and punting on the apparent 'hot tips' of the day.

The Spina Bifida Fundraising Ball was a fantastic evening held by the Spina Bifida Foundation Victoria. The wedding themed night offered guests the chance to understand and help support those suffering the effects of Spina Bifida whilst enjoying the festivities of the well planned night. Highlights include meeting special guest Geoffrey Rush, great live music and professional dancers - and one lady was very lucky winning a Tiffany diamond necklace.
